The small ones happen all the time. Here's a live map. Save any fear you have for the 8 and 9.0's that will hit some day. Rolling Eyes

a. move to a single story

b. get your earthquake preparedness kit stocked up

c. if you're not going to do a., then I'd invest in one of those slides
like the airlines have, for a quick get away.

d. stay away from bridges, power lines, gas lines, nuclear plants.

2.8 isn't as bad if you're closer to the ground. When I lived in Costa Mesa, we had a condo where the living areas was 1 story above the ground level garage... every tiny little quake was left very strongly, and when we had some big ones, you could hear them rolling and rumbling towards you.

I never did get used to those things!

2.8? Don't you remember the Big Bear and Wittier quakes on the 90's? The 6.8-7.0 range?

Heck I know some people who fart and cause a 2.8.

Didn't you read the mandatory California resident manual.

Page 1. Place head between knees.

page 2. Kiss your ass goodbye!

If this doesn't work please check out and return manual while passing through the eastern California state border.
