Hi, I just joined PSC, ca. 18 entries ago. Much fun! I'm used to working to a deadline (i.e., my taxes aren't done yet), so the daily pic is a good challenge.

I've used PS in an amatuerish-sorta way for ~15 years. I started back when there were no layers or masks, and type was just marching-ants outlines that you had to paint a color into before it went away. You hadda save your image after every move!

Now I'm using PS Elements, which isn't that bad, since my last PS version was ~5.2. But it is reeellly sloowww. And no masks (but there's a work-around).

Anyway, it's been fun so far; I enjoy the entries. I've learned that the idea and the pretty colors are what get voted, so you don't have to struggle much with the PS. (But it does bug me when someone ignores perspective; it's not that hard to do it right!)

The turnpike is perpendicular to where I live: back in the mountains near PA: High Bridge. Love the weather: much milder than where I'm from, IA. I only shoveled snow 2x this winter!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Welcome to the party Doug. Looking through your gallery I think your're off to a great start here, especially now that we know you did everything with just Elements. What version and which platform are you using to chop it all on?

Don't worry, I haven't a clue as to what the bats are all about either. Maybe Eve or TutorMe can fill the rest of us in someday. Marco (aka; Marcobalistic) should be along soon to welcome you here too, however he's had a rotten, rotten month and it may take him a bit longer than normal to find his way back into the swing of things. ... I'm glad you finally popped in to say hi, you should have lots of fun here. Smile
